Make A Difference – Read and Wrap!

Imagine being able to read a magazine, and then re-use it as wrapping paper! You would save so many trees by re-using the paper, and cut down on dyes and chemicals used in the printing process as well. It’s an idea that’s succeeding for Wrap, the magazine of unusual and amazing illustrations and articles by graphic designers. Take a look at it at it here.

Each issue has eight pages of illustrations and articles. There are no staples or stitching to hold it together, so it is easier to pull apart after reading and use for wrapping presents, or book covers, or making art or other useful objects. If this beautiful source of wrapping paper is too expensive, you can always re-use other magazines that you find around the house. I also like to re-use old and worn maps for wrapping paper, and also brown paper bags that can be customized with stamps and drawings.

If each of us can look for opportunities to reduce, re-use and recycle we can make a big difference in helping our environment.
